DEEC Oxford
Player.

Very very impressed by what I've seen so far.

Think he could feature quite a bit this season.

Where's he from ?

Re: DEEC Oxford
Think he has been put in midfield to protect him somewhat..rather risking destroying his confidence in a crucial position like CB.

Will eventually revert to CB though i believe.

Got a good player on our hands
Let's hope don't give him away like Morrison

Re: DEEC Oxford
Will still be a centre half long term. Good position to play to get used to big games as mistakes are not too costly.

Random fact, but before we got him into the academy he was a striker and got loads of goals. Tony Carr got him to switch back.

Completely fair comparison, considering we were working a midfield 2 - two - after the sending off.

Please.

Allardyce would have seen us out in the first round.

Re: DEEC Oxford
To be fair, Allardyce would have had to juggle the squad about the same including the youth, as he wouldn't want to take risks that could effect FATIGUE in the League.

Doubt many of the youth will get much of a sniff in the league.

I'm a very good judge of a player and he impressed me.

Got my doubts about Burke.

Oh well that's Burkes career finished then!

Get over yourself AE, I am a good judge of our young players, I have been watching them train and play long enough and Burke will be a fine player - he is only 19 in September.

Ditto re Polite's earlier post, but good to see a WHU manager taking a REAL interest in the young players.

Re: DEEC Oxford
I think he's done well enough to get the start at the Emirates. Far rather have him in there in the middle with Kouyate and Nobes than Nolan, Poyet or Amalfitano. Don't think Obiang will be fit enough to start next Sunday.

The midfield belonged to him last night until he replaced the hapless Collins. When Noble went in there the midfield belonged to Astra.

Be interesting to see the thread after the first game, think a couple of us could see, fucking easily, that we have some player on our hands, yet some absolute know nothing cunts were slagging him off.

I mean, I know we have some cunt fans, but slagging a 16 year old kid off, making his debut, when it was clear to anyone with half an idea that he had class you don't see often.

Rodfarts was one of those slagging him off, for the record.

He was good last night, Noble too. Oxford must be thought of very well to be playing out of position at his age.

As I said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion which I gave.

Also who's whining? All I can see reading back is you jumping all over the place cause my opinion differs from your own.

I agree Noble in the first half was a lot different to Noble in the second half but as the most experienced West Ham player i'd have hoped he'd have stepped up a little more and in my opinion he didn't, Payet yes lost the ball but bloody hell he's good and he will probably be the one player we have this season that will unlock a defence.

Polite, I was also v.impressed with Cullen at Charlton. Some of the youngsters may have jumped too soon with Bilic now in. Lletget would have been given every chance to impress with Super Slav.
